During June 4 - 9, 2007, Project HOPE Thailand had a great opportunity for a visit of PH Japan's
President, Mr. Akira Sumi. Not only to strengthen its relationship with Project HOPE Thailand, Mr. Akira
Sumi made a visit to Project HOPE Thailand's government partners and assisted to expand projects
by helping in fundraising from Japanese companies in Thailand. PH Japan, as a supporters, and
Project HOPE Thailand have had more than 10 years of collaboration in many projects in Thailand
including Pediatric Cardiac NursingTraining Project, School Based HIV/AIDS Prevention Project,
Cervical Cancer Prevention Project and HOPE Partner Education Project. In 2007, PH Japan has
agreed to support Project HOPE Thailand in establishing AIDS Prevention Education Center and
expanding HIV/AIDS prevention project to the neighboring countries.
