Project HOPE Thailand reached Vietnam to expand new implementation

Project HOPE Thailand has started the project of sexual health education and HIV/AIDS prevention
for youth in University dormitory. The first year plan will hold on Chiang Mai University and probably
expand to other universities in the next year. TheHIV/AIDS prevention and education project will also
replicate implement in Vietnam as well.

During July 19-20, 2007, Project HOPE exexcutive Dr. Fox and Project HOPE Thailand Ms. Akiko, Ms.
Kanda and Ms. Wanree visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The aims of visiting was to meet the
President of University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City about implementation of
HIV/AIDS prevention project in university and with representatives of Rehabilitation Center on
possible implementation of the same project. Project HOPE staff also had meetings with medical
officers about a cervical cancer program.
